AMARAM – Planting Memories, Growing Legacies

Honoring Lives Through Nature

Some people leave behind more than just memories—they leave an everlasting presence in our hearts. Though they may no longer walk among us, their love, wisdom, and kindness continue to shape our lives. AMARAM (അമരം)is an initiative that seeks to honor these souls in the most meaningful way possible—by planting trees in their memory.

Even though we cannot see them with our eyes, we often forget the great trees that have stood tall, offering us shade.
Those who spread their branches before us…
Those who bore fruits for us…
Those who rooted deep into our hearts and filled the air with their fragrance…

Through AMARAM, we bring them back—not just as memories, but as living trees that continue to grow, breathe, and give back to the world.

A Vision That Took Root in 2020

AMARAM was initiated on June 5, 2020, as a tribute to those who have touched our lives. Born out of a vision to create lasting memorials through nature, this initiative has since grown into a movement that blends remembrance with sustainability. Every tree planted under AMARAM carries the essence of someone cherished, ensuring their presence continues to inspire future generations.

A Bappuji Smaraka Vayanasala Initiative

Led by Bappuji Smaraka Vayanasala and implemented in Dalawa Road Pusthakagramam, Perumkulam, AMARAM is more than just an environmental effort—it is an emotional journey. Each tree planted represents a person—a loved one, a teacher, a friend, or a guiding force—who has left an indelible mark on our lives.

At the heart of this initiative is Pusthakappura, a hub of knowledge and culture within Pusthakagramam. Just as books preserve thoughts and ideas, these trees stand as living memorials to those who made a difference in the world.

Proud to Be a Part of AMARAM – A Tribute That Grows

I am honored to be associated with AMARAM, a deeply meaningful initiative that transforms memories into living, breathing legacies. Planting trees in remembrance of those who have shaped our lives is a powerful way to keep their spirit alive. As part of this incredible effort, I planted a tree for my father, Dr. K Ravi Varma, ensuring that his presence continues to thrive in nature, just as his wisdom and kindness continue to inspire me.

June 5th – A Day to Remember and Rebuild

Join hands with AMARAM, an initiative dedicated to honoring cherished souls and nurturing a sustainable future. On this day, we plant trees as living tributes that grow strong and shelter future generations—just as those we honor continue to inspire us.

By being part of AMARAM, you are not only celebrating lives well-lived but also contributing to a sustainable future. This initiative reminds us that legacies do not fade—they transform, take root, and continue to flourish.

Join the Movement

We invite you to be a part of this meaningful journey. Whether by planting a tree, sharing a story, or simply spreading the message, your contribution will help nurture a forest of memories.

Let them become trees,
Let them become immortal.

Together, let’s grow AMARAM—a sanctuary where memories live and nature thrives.
